[29]

This is a late pass edition. Stuff that dropped that I ignored for a little while, but turned out to be post-able, and hence are here now.

Bobby Creekwater- This Moment (mp3)
*Its a short track, but its a got a nice relevant background.. not to mention the beat/sample is not really something that you mess up, much. Regardless, he does a great job with his flow here. This is undeniably dope.*

Chamillionaire- Patron ft. Bobby Valentino (mp3)
*Hmm.. a song about alcohol. We've heard this before! Its different though.. Cham's lyricism has this effect on song that just brings a freshness to them. Plus Bobby V adds just that little extra on the hook that you need to pull a song like this off. Its a good effort.*

Charles Hamilton- Reminder (mp3)
*This is not a Charles Hamilton that I've heard, ever. I mean.. the subject matter, the tone.. the passion. Where did this come from? Its been said that "Relapse" has had a bit of an effect on him.. this would be prime example A. He really goes in on this track, pouring his heart out, and you can hear that in his tone, and delivery. I'm impressed. This did not make it on the LP.*

Nino Bliss- Detox Reference (mp3)
*Ive hard two different things about this song. First, its a detox reference track. Next, it isnt a detox reference track. How dare you think this little, unknown dude, could lay down a track fro the Doctor.. simple shit like that. Well.. I'm going to call it how I see it.. this is a Detox reference track.. Not only is it lyrically, something Dre would spit.. just listen to the cadence, and the precise flow.. This is a PERFECTLY tracked Dr. Dre song. Stunningly flawless, too bad it wont see the light of day, though.*

J. Dilla- Make It Fast ft. Bun B & Termanology (mp3)
*Term and Bun on a brilliantly prodcued Dilla track? You know it gonna be on point lyrically, as ot is. The difference in the way these two difference artists approach their tracks is apparent too, but that's not a bad thing. Dope material. How many more songs can Dilla posthumously produce?*

Sha Stimuli- I Miss You ft. Ne-Yo (mp3)
*Everyone can relate to a song like this. Everyone. We all go through this, at different time. It's just one of those things in life. Its beautifually articulated, though, the production value could have been better. Sha's obviously the kind of MC that can switch up his flow when he need to, to put a song together, like this.*

DJ Spinna- Lyrics Is Back ft. Torae (mp3)
*The title says it all. Its time for a more relevant artist (ala Jay-Z - D.O.A.) to make a song like this. With this subject matter. And I'm not talking about Nas, either.*

Charles Hamilton- Independent Women (mp3)
*Make no mistake.. Charles Hamilton's voice is annoying as fuck. His flow here is perfect though.. matches the beat excellently. Again.. you hear the eminem infuence on his flow? Go listen to Relapse. I like how he works with this Kanye West beat though.. another quality track from CH..*

Glasses Malone- Sun Come Up ft. Birdman & Rick Ross (mp3)
*Glasses is one of the few new-school West Coast MCs that I can't to hear their first major releases, along with Blu, Nipsey Hussle & Jay Rock. The beat is purely West Coast.. which go nicely with the easy flowing lyrical content.*

Raekwon- Olympus (mp3)
*Alot of new Wu leaked recently, I think this is the best of the bunch. Theres a bunch of relevant lyrics in this that, you can really vibe to. The beat is a winner as well.. though it is simple, its effective.*

Kid CuDi- Mr. Solo Dolo (mp3)
*Kid CuDi is the one artist out right now that I'm just not sure about. Alot of people though A Kid Naked CuDi was dope 'tape. Honestly, I didnt like any of the songs he rapped on. As to this track, I don't know what to think. Musically, its a great aura of a track, but lyrically.. I can't say. Some will like, some will hate...*

Max B- Never Wanna Go Back (mp3)
*Its a rough copy, but you can feel the passion and hunger in B's voice right here. He couldnt have done anything better with this. Dope beat too, nice simple, and doesnt interfere with his flow. Don't really know much about his case, but for a dude now facing as much time as he is, you've just gotta wish him the best, hopefully he makes it out a better person.*

Wale- Family Affair (mp3)
*Dope.*

That's it for now.

Trick Daddy- This Tha Shit That I Live

Well Well Well. Looks like Trick has finally decided to try and take back his crown and the king in Miami, from Rick Ross. With this one track, and all the subliminals being taken, Trick does what 50 couldn't do, lyrically, that is. If Trick were more relevant, this would be Ross' end. Simply put. And you can actually believe the things that come out of this guys mouth, at that.

Trick Daddy- This Tha Shit That I Live (mp3)

[28]

This is very T.I. and Lil Wayne heavy. Recently, it seems like there hasnt been anything significant/ post-worthy dropping, so it hasn't posted. There may be a few Drake songs in here because the kids buzz just keeps getting bigger and bigger. We'll see...

T.I. - Live My Life Alone (mp3)
*T.I. continues to surprise me. This song just cuts to the core of how you would suspect him to really feel about his situation. When I first gave it a listen throw I had to do a double take because, there is no rapping, and I was expecting verses. Had to check the tags and everything to make sure this was really Cliff. Turns out, even when he's not rapping, and he's not making a song for the ladies, he can still throw down lyrically, through this medium.*

Fabolous- When The Money Goes ft. Jay-Z (mp3)
*Not exactly sure you remember, but I believe a rough version of Jay-Z vocals and song, came out at some point last summer? Too lazy to go back, and check, but this is pretty much Loso putting his fingers all over that song, and making it into a pretty damn good one. His flow matches the beat perfectly. I feel like, he could make this a nice hit, if he can clear the sample.*

J. Cole- Heartache (mp3)
*When you enlist and epic sample, you've gotta make sure you go hard on it. I feel like the prodcuer messed up this masterpiece, somewhat. The drumbeat over the underlying sample needs to dumbed down, and faded, just a tad, because I feel like they're distracting when trying to zone in on the lyrics. Nevertheless, lyrically, song's on point.

Lil Wayne- We Be Steady Mobbin' ft. Gucci Mane (mp3)
*Not usually a song you would see on my song, but its strong enough to get posted here. I think Gucci Mane is overrated, wack sauce, btw, but that's just my opinion. Even though its simple, I like the beat.. it fits. Lil Wayne needs to solely rap like this from now on. That drummed down auto-tune shit that he's been putting out in advance of "Rebirth," just is not working.*

The Alchemist- Chemical Warfare ft. Eminem (mp3)
*Eminem has nothing better to talk about. The fan in me, is telling me that he's just in Slim Shady mode, and that's all he'll rap about now, crazy shit.. until Relapse 2 hits, but the realist in me is starting to think if he can actually rap about anything else, consistantly, right now. I mean, really. This beat deserves more.*

Lil Wayne- No Quitter, No Getter (mp3)
* !!!! All you need to know is the verses are FIRE. Weezy definitely goes in on this. This is one of the few times when Ive listened to a Wayne song and been blown away by all his verses. If he came hard like this, consistently, I would understand the hype.*

Juelz Santana- Days Of Our Lives (mp3)
*Late pass on my part. The video dropped, and I was inclined to give it a listen. The track kinda blew me away, because lyrically, it works. Nice little song to sit back, and vibe to.*

J. Cole- Dead Presidents (Freestlye) (mp3)
*Oh good lord. Another late pass on my part, for which I am greatly sorry. This right here is so hot, it deserves it own solo post. I mean, I dont even have to say anything about it. J. Cole absolutely rips this shit to shreds. Its STUNNING.*

Lil Wayne- Kobe Bryant (mp3)
*Something about this doesnt sit right with me. This is like.. um.. there should be a massive no homo tag attached to this. This takes being a fan just over the edge. Its dope lyrically, though. Just.. over the top.*

Maino- Don't Be Scared ft. Chris Brown (mp3)
*Smmfh at Maino for enlisting Chris Brown on a song titled "Dont Be Scared." I mean.. after the whole beating the shit out of Rihanna incident, you would very we would have plenty of reasons to "Be Scared." Anyways, not sure if its on the LP, but its just OK.*

Mary J. Blige- The One ft. Drake (mp3)
*Mary J is prepping her next album, which is dropping later this year. Of course you already know that Drake definitely comes correct on this. You can definitely tell her used to ghostwrite for Wayne.. I mean.. its damn obvious. Regardless, despite its repetititiveness, its a nice little song.*

Nipsey Hussle- The Hussle Way (mp3)
*West Coast stand up! The one of the artists out of Cali right now that I've been really impressed with lately. Solid content, each leak, just getting stronger and stronger. I dont really see how you could mess this beat up though, definite head-banger.*

T.I. - The Way You Want It (mp3)
*Dont really have much to say here. Nice flow.. Its just a standard T.I. song to be at the moment, because his recent consistancy is just epically stunning.*

Trey Songz- Invented Sex ft. Drake (mp3)
*Download at your own risk. By that I mean, I havent even heard it.*

And that is it for now, ladies and gentlemen.. I'll be picking up my post count starting this week.

Jay-Z - D.O.A. (Death Of Autotune)

You knew I had to get this up.. dropped last night in NY.. CDQ was released soon after, its clean for now, that's the best you'll find. If you're wondering if there have been shots fired at T-Pain, you can sit down. Lyrically, it goes at the Kanye's and Weezy's of the world that have overused and mainstreamed what Pain revolutionized. Its made in a parental fashion form though, so we'll see if anybody gets offended and wants to start something over this. I figure no.

Jay-Z - D.O.A. (Death Of Autotune) (mp3)
*OH shit, forgot to mention, Kanye and No I.D. on the track.. with an epic.. epic beat.*

From what Ive seen, this is only a street single for BP3, The official single, of this song in concept will feature none other than Drake. Should be a good look.

Saigon- Change Gon Come

I saw this in my inbox and feared to hear that legendary Sam Cook sample again. I mean, its not like I doubt that Saigon can spit over that, because he can, but its getting so overplayed and overused that it probably wouldn't feel the same, if the sample wasn't used. That being said, this is an interesting song. Nice sample, but lyrically its missing just a little something.. can't exactly say what though.

T.I. - Assorted Newness

Well I'm back for now.. coding the new site.. getting everything set up for a late August launch.. making my moves and such.. anyways.. T.I. is about to go in for his 10-month bid, and therefore he's on his late release grind.

T.I. - All Night (mp3) [DJ]
*This one probably boasts the best beat.. just one of those undeniable you're going to get up and dance tracks. Nice and smooth, but just a little substance to keep it relevant. This is one of the tracks that's rumored to be on the re-release of paper trail.*

T.I. - Don't Forget ft. Mary J. Blige (mp3)
*This is ultimately, single material. There's almost no question about that. Mary J.. just, what more is there to say about this woman.. she just keeps getting better, and better, and she sings her heart out on the hook. Really.. this is Paper Trail 101, and this lyrical formula just hasn't gotten old quite yet.*

T.I. - Hell Of A Life (mp3) [DJ]
*He recently shot a video for this, so you know the single is going to be rolled out sometime or the other. I can't really say I LOVE the song, but its just consistant. TI's in this zone right now, where he can just spit over anything, and about anything and it wont be wack. I wish I could find a CDQ of this...

As for this fuckery of the whole T.I. jail situation, I feel one way, and one way only. It should be a crime to be able to cut a deal like the one Clifford's lawyers were able to cut for him. This man should be going away for AT LEAST 5 years.. especially when I've personally seen people go away for 1 year for EACH BULLET that they had. 10 bullet, 10 years. T.I. had some of the most illegal weapons in his personal possession, and he cops to a year and a day? He'll only serve 10 months in a minimum security facility. This standard is simply not an appropriate one. One thing is almost certain in my mind though.. A big fish in the gun trade will fall at some point.. you better believe that.

More on the way.

Rick Ross- Usual Suspects ft. Nas

As stated before.. "Deeper Than Rap" will be one of the better rap albums to come out this year. This track is produced by the Inkredibles.. and yeah... its pretty good. Someone should tell Nas that he needs to work with beats like these much... much more often. Anybody out there wondering why the industry is showing Ross more love right now than 50? Do you see the features/ hear the beats that are gonna be on this album? Whats 50 doin right now? Should tell y'all something..
